As a Registered Veterinary Technician, Teacher, and Dog Trainer, I bring a wealth of knowledge and a sprinkle of fun to every class - both in person and online.

My approach to training your dog is all about compassion and understanding, tailoring everything to fit your and your pet's unique needs.

With deep roots in the veterinary world, I understand the impact of health on behavior and can guide you in preventing issues before they arise.

My mission is to create a joyful learning experience and a solid foundation for your pet's lifetime of happiness and well-being.

I highly recommend Julie’s puppy training program. It is so much more than what you get in typical puppy classes. Julie listened to me and understood what I wanted for my dog. She had such a great way of explaining the training concepts and taught me very easy and affordable ways to keep Panda well behaved and healthy.Her medical knowlege was a huge help because she was able to pick up on behaviours that were related to underlying health problems. This saved Panda from getting really sick because I was able to take her to a Vet early and get her help before she became very ill. Julie even helped me save a ton of money with grooming by showing me how to clean Panda’s ears, clip her nails and keep her hair brushed in between trimming. I have a busy life and the online format was fantastic for me.

My 18-month-old dog ( now a 28-month-old) had been reactive to other dogs. Her ‘dominant’ behaviour became aggressive towards other dogs, which was very upsetting to all of us.
We had to stop visiting with other dogs and going on public trails. This was a huge loss in our lives.
With Julie‘s help, we could train my dog to a new behaviour. Instead of anxiety, lunging, and barking aggressively, she learned to” check in with me “ and get positive attention and treats to make it a positive situation to see other dogs.
I am now confidently walking with my 2 dogs in our neighbourhood and around town again.
As we could not train around other dogs in a typical pet training class, Julie met me where I wanted to practice and, on several occasions, brought her own sweet dog, Stella, to help us practice. It was super helpful to ease my dog into passing other dogs. Unlike a pet training facility, we trained where we lived in our "real-life" context. This was vital for my dog's success, and we could skip the difficult “adjustment-to-home stage” that comes with most in-classroom dog training. Julie's personalized approach, coming into my home, answering all my questions, assessing our home set-up and helping advise me about sleeping arrangements and blockade designs for dog spaces reassured me that we could keep both dogs safe and content.
